Use & Dosage
Short Term Diarrhoea:
• Suitable for adults and children aged 12 years and over
• Take 2 capsules to start treatment.
• Take 1 capsule after each loose bowel movement, up to a maximum of 6 capsules per day.
• If your diarrhoea lasts for more than 48 hours, consult your doctor.
IBS Diarrhoea:
• Suitable for adults aged 18 years and over who have been medically diagnosed with IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome).
• Take 2 capsules to start treatment.
• Take 1 capsule after each loose bowel movement, up to a maximum of 6 capsules per day.
• Use for up to 2 weeks for repeated attacks, but do not take for any one attack lasting longer than 48 hours
• If your symptoms change, worsen or are not improved after 2 weeks, consult your doctor.
Ingredients
Active Ingredients: Each Capsule Contains 2 Mg Loperamide Hydrochloride, Also Contains Lactose.
Other ingredients: Lactose, maize starch, talc and magnesium stearate (E572), titanium dioxide (E171), black ferrous oxide (E172), yellow ferric oxide (E172), indigo carmine (E132), erythrosine (E127) and gelatin.
Is Imodium safe to use?
Do Not Use If
1. Breastfeeding.
2. Allergic to any ingredients in the medication.
3. Severe diarrhoea after taking antibiotics.
4. Having a flare-up of an inflammatory bowel condition, such as ulcerative colitis.
5. Constipated or stomach appears swollen (especially in children with severe dehydration).
6. Have acute dysentery showing symptoms like blood in stools, high temperature.
1. Pregnant.
2. Suffer from liver disease.
3. Diarrhoea lasts for more than 48 hours or severe diarrhoea.
4. Have been told by your GP that you have an intolerance to some sugars.
